Pineapple needed some buddies since Chevy and Tangelo are at the Leesburg Petsmart, so I went to pick up some more kittens at the shelter today. I ended up leaving with more kittens than I planned on... That seems to happen to me a lot! So instead of six kittens... I brought home ten kittens. There are two litters and two singletons. Most of the kittens are very shy. When we got home they were hiding and very overwhelmed, but that's understandable given all of the changes they have been through. The good news is that they are safe now and will be learning all about the good life.
The bigger litter of three and a singleton tuxedo will be named the Kittens of Steel. The grey boy will be General Zod, the tabby/white girl will be Lois Lane, and the small silver tabby will be Martha Kent. The tuxedo boy is a little shy so I named him Clark Kent to bring out his inner Superman.
The second batch of kittens are a little smaller and won't be ready until next weekend. They are all boys (three black, one orange tabby, and one brown tabby) will be the Cafe Kittens - Americano, Macchiato, Latte, Mocha, and Dolce. They are shy, but already starting to explore and play! They especially love the kitty city I made them as a hangout!
The final last minute addition was Miss Bunny. She was new to the shelter and came in with a broken nubbin tail. I had everyone packed up and was ready to head out when she pawed at me from her cage... So I found myself saying "I'll take that little one too." She is absolutely adorable and loves affection so she and Pineapple will be good role models for my shy guys.
